As long as thanks is possible, then joy is possible. pg. 33
Jesus counts thanksgiving as integral in a faith that saves. pg. 39
This does feel like my own reformation, all things wooden-hard giving way to the sky. Recording gifts to reform. I pick up a pen and write of the God-gifts---all these things I had blithely and blindly brushed past before---and the list is my thanks...pg. 49
My list--
Thank-you God for...
#1. the Leggos I've picked up 4 times today. They represent the children in my life.
#2. "tuck-in's" so sweet, tightly packaging little pieces of my heart until morning.
#3. the soothing sound of rain on the roof.
#4. the roof---that keeps my babies dry on rainy nights as they sleep.
#5. blush brushes (between me and God :)
#6. a walk with Joey
#7. cool crisp air on my cheeks.
#8 worship with children.
#9. new friends
#10. unexpected friends
#11. hearing the chirping of the birds as the sun rises above the trees--and my house is silent.
#12. sleepy little eyes
More to come next Monday (or Tuesday)! Hope you will check out Ann's book and blog today! :)

I'm so with you on this one! I cried with the people of Japan, felt so guilty that I EVER had ONE complaint in my life -- yet, in the next moments found myself with a complaining or crabby spirit. I squelched it, too. My whole life's mission has become to put out that flame in my life --- that thing where enough is never enough, where my trust is all hot air, and where life becomes all about ME! Thank you for your comments today. They brought me back to "ground zero" -- the place of thanks!
